Community Story - Blog Style Guide
We believe every individual has the potential to transform our world. Yet, access to top-tier STEM mentorship, knowledge, and wisdom to unleash such potential has been a privilege for the few. This is why our Community Story library exists. We encourage contributors and volunteers like you to help educate and inspire the STEM community.
If you have a STEM related career or entrepreneurial success story or failures that led to a success story you can share it on our Knowledge Center library. Any other STEM related story you wish to share on our library is welcomed, as long as it provides helpful input or value to our audience.
This story post can be anywhere between 700 to 2,500 words.

Please follow our style guide below to maximize your impact on our audience. When youโre done submitting your story, we'll reach out to you if we think it would be a good fit.

Keep it simple and easy for people to understand what your story will teach them. Here are a few examples we recommend following:
- How I (built, learned or discovered) _____ in or at _____.
- How to (get started, acquire scholarships, get internships) in or at _____.
- How I got a job at (space x, rolls-royce, google etc..) as a (aerospace engineer, developer, etcโฆ).
- How a (electrical engineer, aerospace engineer) built a _____ business/company.
Your title can be different from the examples above just please make sure it follows the format of creating anticipation.

๐ Give us a short introduction about yourself
Keep your introduction short and simple. Give the readers a short snippet about who you are, what you do, background, education etc... Please don't include any sensitive personal information.

๐ Tell us your story
Here you can have fun telling us your story. Feel free to include photos, bullet points or numbers if you are explaining the steps of something. Anything thatโll contribute towards your story is welcomed. Keep things short and simple. Write every sentence as simple and effective as you possibly can.
Please keep these story requirements into account when writing your story:
- Keep it friendly and approachable.
- Be helpful and knowledgeable.
- Opinions and advice should be honest and upfront.
- Keep messages light-hearted and relatable.
Please include 2-3 mistakes you wish our audience to avoid in their stem journey
Learning from your mistakes is good and wise, learning from others mistakes is better and wiser. Please list 2-3 mistakes you wish our audience to avoid in their STEM journey.

๐ Write a conclusion
End your story with a brief conclusion, don't overcomplicate it. Just neatly wrap up your story with some key takeaways or paragraph of what your reader just accomplished.

- Use American english.
- Don't use capital letters unless it REALLY helps with emphasis.
- Emojis used in moderation is fine. ๐
