What are the best techniques to prevent overfitting in deep neural networks?

I’ve been training a deep neural network for image classification, but I’m facing overfitting issues where the model performs well on the training set but poorly on the validation set. I’ve tried adding dropout layers and using early stopping, but the results are still not great. Are there any other strategies or adjustments I can make to improve the model's generalization performance?
